We had a great weekend everything was a stated and the location was brilliant. Only very minor downside was the low ceilings for the taller member of our group not really an issue.

Everything was perfect, including the solving of a minor problem with a bathroom.

What an absolutely marvellous cottage. Very very quaint but homely. If we are ever in the vicinity again, we will be trying to stay here again. Many restaurants, pubs and shops on your doorstep. Such a lovely stay, we didnt want to leave.
Lovely little house in a good location. Visitors should be aware that one of the upstairs bedrooms does have a shower, but no toilet, and that one of the bedrooms the one with two singles is a mezzanine type room above the master bedroom with no door between them. Good for kids not great for privacy.

The beds were not very comfortable. With that said, the location could not have been more perfect. The village of Stow on the Wold is right out of the 1700s and absolutely beautiful. Walking the Monarchs Way was a great way to start each day. The people were amazingly friendly and one resident even invited us in for tea!
Pike Cottage is in a great location however the layout of the bedrooms is not made clear. Luckily we were all family so we coped but in other circumstances the sleeping arrangements would have become difficult. Also, the small single bed was broken. This meant our Daughter had very little sleep. The cleanliness of the cottage was very poor. The beds and towels were clean but the carpets were stained and the bathrooms and kitchen were not as clean as you would expect them to be.

Idyllic cottage what a fantastic little place! great location ! Weve loved staying & recommended to others.
We had major issues with the hot water and the heating did not work. We were very disappointed with the accommodation. However, the situation with the waterheating was managed very well by the local staff on call. Many thanks to Lisa, Stuart and the team.
A very enjoyable stay. ...Infact our 3rd visit to Stow but 1st to Pike Cottage which is a lovely old house in a great location to explore Stow by foot and surrounding area. Very comfortable place but the parking is a problem. It's clearly stated that it's on street parking but due to Stows popularity we found it virtually impossible September to park anywhere close to the house at all and most times I'd drop my wife and invariably park up the top end of the Town . Loved the quirky character and charm of Pike Cottage and the fact there's Netflix and Amazon Prime but found the kitchen lacked a few key utensils when we cooked in the house eg spatula to cook in frying pan. We slept in the main bedroom with ensuite and was very comfortable bed plus loved the fact there was a bath in ensuite too. Lovely characterful dining room oozing charm and all in all a lovely house. We were also fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the garden as had lovely warm sunny weather too
The cottage location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to the shops in Stow. The cottage is full of character and a lovely place to stay, we were there for a girly weekend and it was perfect, the kitchen particularly was great as it had plenty of space for us all to sit down. Only minor criticisms 1 the welcome book says not to touch the heating, but we had to turn it off as it was BOILING. Set to 20 degrees all night so we were roasting, it was easy enough to turn it off on the controls but would have been better for it to be set to a more normal temperature! 2 tidying up instructions were unclear, they referenced putting bedding into bags provided but we couldnt find these. Not sure if they were oldoutdated instructions as they referenced Covid a lot too. 3 very little was provided in terms of bin bags, loo roll and basic cleaning products. The biscuits and crisps were a nice touch, but some basics would have been more useful. All very minor things though and I would stay again.
Lovely warm cottage, great location, nice welcome biscuits etc. , everything provided, highly recommended, thank you.
Absolutely loved the cottage, we had a great time, thank you. Only feedback if pushed was the blinds in the top floor bedroom weren't the easiest. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch and really appreciated the milk and biscuits. So central, we couldn't have asked for better.
Lovely cottage, well equipped and walking distance to everything that Stow has to offer
The cottage is beautiful and well located in village, we had a few issues. The ensuite bathroom toilet didnt flush properly, the shower in the main bathroom was very temperamental, there was a leak in the dining room from the skylight. I would really suggest changing the carpet on the stairs from the top bedroom, on Monday morning I slipped on the stairs hit my right knee and crashed into radiator at bottom hitting my head. So our first day was a right off as I was battered and bruised.
Pike Cottage was a charming, historic cottage. The decor was lovely and the cottage was very clean. We loved staying there. My husband left his wallet when we checked out and the agency was able to get it to him at our next place of stay. Not a thing was missing. Hope to stay here again next year.

We spend a very good time in this country and in the cottage. Every one was enjoy by your property Just a little problem with the clean machine
We had the absolute BEST stay at Pike Cottage. It was truly like waking up in a dream world. The Cotswolds have all the charm and Pike Cottage just accentuated it. We couldnt decide whether to go out or stay in! Thank you for a lovely holiday!
We loved this quirky cottage but there was a major disappointment with the bathrooms. The second floor only has a shower and handbasin which means if you are not young like us you had to go down steep and narrow stairs to spend a penny during the night! Madness not to have installed toilet and handbasin as there is a shower on first floor. This was not clear in the description. Also although there were instructions to put linen from beds in clear bags there were no clear or black bags provided!
Jennifer
We spent a very enjoyable week over Christmas at Pike Cottage which we found charming, well maintained and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. To our delight, the owners had supplied a decorated Christmas tree and a delicious panettone. Many thanks for sharing your historic property with us. Cheers Jenny, Kevin, Sylwia and Trent.

This cottage was well placed for ameinites although on a very busy road. The lounge was quirky and although rather dark it was ok for watching a few tv programs. The property had been well cleaned before our arrival but as we where probably the last let of the season the carpets needed cleaned. They were in a bad way, the lounge, stairs and bathroom floors did not look the least bit hygenic and none of us walked on them in our bare feet. The kitchen was well equiped and everything was clean and in working order. We found our bed first floor comfortable but small and the ensuite needs a bit of work done on it but as I said it is the end of the summer season and the owners will probably freshen it up for next season.I trust the owners will accept these comments as fair comment but I do have plenty photos to back up my honest opinions.
This was a cottage straight out of a fairy tale! Right in the middle of a magical village Stow. Small but spacious at the same time. Very well equipped with all the necessary conforta. Beds were very comfortable. If you are looking for some magical time, family time or just some relax time by yourself, this is the place to stay. Hopefully we will be back soon! Thanks!
Oh my goodness, from the moment you walk through the gate to the property it feels like you are transported back in time, in a magical way, not a bad way. I cannot rate this property highly enough, it was clean very comfortable and just a pure delight to stay in with all the cubby holes and wonky rooms it has character by the bucket load. I am quite tall so had to bend my head to some rooms, but it was not a drama. The kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms are fabulously quirky, the shower in one is not very powerful, I have long hair and had to give up, however this may have been more user error than an actual issue. I would love to stay here again and would highly recommend the property. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
