Kingfishers, Little Clanfield

Lovely setting, lots of walks straight out the door. Super house, clean, lovely views from bedrooms. Blakes bakery brilliant, and the Bell. Great open spaces, light and airy and French doors good. Settees comfy. Hallway brilliant for storage and the dog. Light duvets and fans appreciated. Shame we could not use the garden space long grass, weeds and brambles, wobbly bench against the hedge. Gardener needed! Kitchendiner really good, chopping boards appreciated. Baking sheetspizza sheetspyrex jugs and bowlswok, bigger saucepans for 7, pasta bowls would be helpfulbut we do like to cook so that is our wishlist. Could not find the compost caddy at the end of the lane sadly. Mind your head signs for low ceilings for the giantsand warning tape on the step from the hallway first one in came a cropper, so that was a good start to the holiday. We loved the wildlife foxes, hares, sika, muntjac, kingfisher, heron, green woodpeckers etc etc. We think you could make more of the wildlife opportunities on the listing? We are country folk, but townies may love the enchantment! Great to be so close to Oxford and Bampton and Witney. Gold star to Dan the wasp man with 2 wasp phobics and a dog the fast response was appreciated and the kind reimbursement. We had a lovely time, it ticked the majority of our holiday template thank you.

Kingfishers suits our needs perfectly, both the property and location. Looking forward to our next booked stay.

Absolutely perfect. The facility and equipment could not be faulted even to the Christmas tree, that saved me erecting the plastic one on the car. Geat location for us as me son could meet friends in the Kidlington area and me friends at Burford.

Kingfishers was outstanding! A beautiful cottage in a remote rural setting. Spotlessly clean. Added extras of milk, orange juice, biscuits and a cleaning pack for the kitchen were an added bonus. The perfect venue for our family to celebrate two milestone birthdays.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Kingfishers with our son and two dogs. The house is stocked with the essentials dishwasher tabs etc and beds were comfy and clean. Super views from every window and nice that we could use the numerous nearby footpaths to walk the dogs without getting in the car. We enjoyed walking up to the village and loved Blakes Kitchen the cinnamon buns are fab as well as loads of local dog and child friendly things to do. Only improvement I would make would be some wire stock fencing along the post and rail to the boundary with the footpath to be a truly dog safe garden. The little stream through the garden was a godsend for paws in the hot weather though and much enjoyed. Would definitely return.

We loved the house, it is very nice renovated and decorated. The surroundings are beautiful and it is very quiet, what we loved. We're definitely are coming back another time. Our dog had a wonderfull time runnig around in the garden and meeting people who came across the walking track. Also lovely that there are herbs in the garden which we could use. The fireplace in the house was very cosy and warm. We loved the big kitchen with everything we needed. The two chairs at the water are wonderfull to relax when the sun is shining. We even made a fire outside in the garden hope that was ok when there was a poweroutage in the whole area for several hours. The kids loved that as the most memorable time of the whole week . And that the house has the possibility to charge your car was very perfect. You have a wonderfull house in a wonderfull area of England!

The property was lovely, well maintained and stocked with everything you need in the Kitchen. The owner was very quick to answer any questions I had whilst there. My family enjoyed their stay and found the area to be peaceful and quiet. In an idyllic location, accessible to the surrounding activities with lots of walking opportunities.

Kingfishers was a perfect cottage for our 2 families during the holidays. It is a beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable cottage near to Clanfield which has a wonderful pub, hotel restobar, and bakery, It also has great country walks from its doorstep with flocks of sheep all around. The owner went to great lengths to make it cosy and functional it was fully stocked nothing was missing. We loved our 3 days at Kingfishers and hope to visit again during the springsummer to enjoy the beautiful, outdoor spaces. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
