South Hill Farmhouse was the perfect base for our daughter's wedding just down the hill at Hyde Hall. It was the perfect place for our large extended family to prepare, share and recover to. The farmhouse is quintessentially Cotswold country, spacious, warm and welcoming. Thanks so much for the arrival gift and hassle free use of your space. Highly recommend.

The property was excellent, a large house with two lounges, games room and two kitchens. It was very clean, and well maintained. Although situated on a very busy road if walking into town, it can be challenging crossing the road. The heating system was a little complicated and half the house wasnt heated on the first night but we persevered and sorted the issue by the next day and cancelled the emergency engineer coming. The rooms were excellent but it should be noted that the single bed was only suitable for a child or small adult. Also matches would be a help to light the fire! The only downside was the early check out at 10 am which was difficult especially to sort breakfast and get everyone out . 12 noon would have been better as we really only had one full day especially when you cant check in till 5 pm on the Friday . I understand its a large place to clean but when paying premium prices maybe more cleaners to turn it around. Overall a great location and we all had a lovely time.

We were not disappointed, the house delivered everything we needed for our party being an age range from 9months to 65years and everything in between. Excellent well organised kitchens with plenty of everything and everything you could possibly need. Great location with plenty of parking, even navigating the road which at times was busy, was not a problem. Bedrooms were lovely with really comfy beds! Plenty of bathrooms and ensuites that no one was ever waiting to grab a shower. This beautiful house comes highly recommended! The dog loved it too!

The house was beautiful! It was a great for a big party to use for the weekend, there was enough seating, crockery and space for everyone ! It was very clean and tidy when we arrived, it has ample bathrooms and lots of space for parking too. Overal, we had a great weekend there!

This house is wonderful! We were a large family group with ages ranging between 7 months and 70, and it was perfect for all of us. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms clean and spacious. We were very impressed with the two kitchens which were extremely well equipped, we could not have asked for anything else to cook and serve large meals. We used the new hugs BBQ which was fabulous. There are two comfortable lounges and a huge dining room which seated us all, and there were some smaller places for people to have some quiet time. The garden was brilliant! Large enough for family games and sports with a great tree swing, big garden table and chairs. We loved the games room which catered for all ages, so many thoughtful games, toys and books to keep every age occupied. We walked into Stow in the Wold which is pretty little town, we were prepared for the busy road from other reviews but it was ok, we had to cross carefully through some heavy traffic as the pavement was on the opposite side of the road but it was only 10 minutes walk into Stow. Our only issues in the house were with the fridges which froze our meat and milk, but perhaps a previous guest had set the temperature too cold? Some of the showers were also cold at times, so perhaps the thermostats need checking? But those small issues didnt spoil our stay, the house exceeded our expectations and we had a fabulous stay. Thank you so much for the generous hamper box filled with delicious high end goodies! I would totally recommend this amazing house for large groups of all ages.

Games room a real hit with children, as was garden. Road busier than expected so noisy in some bedrooms and walking straight out from house tricky. SMEG fridge had a trick of freezing items placed at the top of the normal section.

Lovely venue. .....excellent facilities, kitchens, crockery, lounges, space, bedrooms, garden, games room etc......however, access to and from the road was a bit tricky on occasions.....

This was the perfect place for our large family get together. It is spacious, cosy and has excellent kitchen facilities. It's in a great location to walk into StowontheWold though be aware it is on the main road so patience and caution needed to cross to the footpath!. The garden is excellent, has a swing, patio area and outdoor seating, large enough for us to play a game of rounders! The facilities for children were excellent play room full of toys and books. We had an amazing time here, the only suggestion we would make is for a BBQ to be provided which I believe the owner is looking to do this year.

A fantastic house, everything had been thought of and we had a brilliant weekend.

Very well equipped property for a multigenerational family gathering. A good combination of bedrooms with plenty of bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of space to spread out, play games, chill and then eat together. Plenty of parking space too. The wifi was a bit temperamental.

Weve had a wonderful week staying at South Hill farmhouse Great accommodation for a party of 16, aged 290! Very well furnished and equipped The two kitchens allowed plenty of space when cooking for our large family group Very comfortable bedrooms and great to have so many bathrooms too And the games room was enjoyed by all Would happily stay here again, although its already booked out for the same week next year, so maybe 2027 for us

The WIFI is extremely slow we booked the property for a company offsite and this was a problem for us. The facilities are good, but not listed extensively, so we bought things with us we didn't need to.

What an amazing property in such a great location just be careful crossing the road ! . The property and garden were spotless, kitchens fully equipped and the aga was a wonderful bonus as well as the open fire. The bedrooms were all lovely, beds very comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Thank you for the hamper which greeted us on arrival. What a wonderful surprise full of very tasty treats. A very thoughtful gesture indeed. We had the best 60th birthday celebrations and made memories to last a lifetime. I also want to highly recommend Feed Me Cotswolds caterers, who we had arranged to cater for us with a 3 course meal, they were absolutely fantastic, very reasonable and very professional. Please do recommend them.

A brilliant venue for our large family gathering to celebrate Mum's 70th. The beds were blissfully comfortable, bathrooms and ensuites plentiful with lashings of hot water, dining room perfect for 22 of us to sit down to eat together, kitchen facilities wonderful with Aga and two ovens, games room a bit hit with all ages especially the younger members of our party, huge lounge good for playing party games and the snug was just that very warm and cosy with the log burner especially needed as we were there the weekend of Storm Darragh!. Everything you could possibly need was provided, including an incredible welcome hamper of locallysourced goodies. The entrance is on a steep incline, directly off the main road and quite difficult to spot so we hung some Christmas lights and balloons on the sign outside, which meant that guests arriving in the dark could easily spot it. We had taken heed of previous reviewers and advised people approaching the property from the north to continue down the hill and turn back up again, so they were not trying to cross lines of traffic. Thank you for a perfect stay!

A great house for a large number of people. So well equipped and everything we needed for our family gathering of 19, aged from 16 months to 86 years of age plus dogs. A short walk in to Stow but a very busy three lane road to cross. Everyone appreciated the space and comfort which the house offers. The welcome hamper was greatly received, thank you.

This property exceeded my expectations. It provided an incredible base for friends and family to come together for an 80th birthday celebration.

Thoroughly enjoyed our family gathering 6 couples in this very well equipped farmhouse. More crockery, cutlery, glasses, pans, etc. than we could cope with !! Very spacious accommodation whether in the kitchens for 'communal' cooking, dining room at family meal times or lounges for reading, TV, relaxing, etc. The games room table football and table tennis provided fun entertainment. The property is well situated for visiting many of the popular Cotswold attractions and only a short walk to Stow. There are several longer walks from the property itself to Broadwell and Donnington, the Swells, the Slaughters and BourtonontheWater for example, though as per previous comments negotiating the busy A429 can be a challenge ! A minor point re the website listing for this property it would be more helpful if the bedroom descriptions were presented as a list so as to more easily see which had ensuites, baths andor showers, TVs, etc. rather than a continuous block of text. We would happily book this property again.

South Hill Farmhouse was the perfect place for our party to spend a few days. Our party consisted of 10 adults 8 children and a dog, the layout worked extremely well for us the bedrooms were clean and comfortable good ensuite facilities and a couple of bathrooms plenty of hot water everyone was happy. Both kitchens were clean and very well stocked with crockery,glasses and every utensil you could think of,the two lounges gave us plenty of room and the games room was a big hit with the kids. This was a great location crossing the road could be a challenge but not a problem.

Amazing accommodation which was absolutely perfect for our family get together 20 of us, spanning 3 generations. The house is so spacious, comfortable and well equipped we wanted for nothing. There was a lovely welcome hamper of local goodies, thank you. There was ample parking on the drive and a large secure garden at the rear of the property. The only real negative is the road, which we were aware of when we booked having read previous reviews. Our suggestion would be dont try to do a right turn in or out of the property, but drive on a short distance to where there is an easy junction to make the turn and then go back! We found communication with the management company good, and they were helpful over access and departure times. They also kept us informed as, prior to our arrival, there had been a problem with the boiler. This was being dealt with, but meant the central heating in a few rooms wasnt working. However the alternative provision of plug in radiators for those rooms meant we experienced no issues. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and would use it again.

I was not aware it was on such a busy road it was quite stressful going out walking with dog navigating traffic, would have been helpful to know that. Would not book again on that basis but otherwise a great place for large groups.

A perfect property for our needs. We loved the sitting rooms, dining room, play room and garden. The bedrooms, ensuites and bathrooms were all great too. We took the precaution of putting some balloons up on the busy road which helped enormously in finding the driveway. Thanks for the tip.

We did enjoy a lovely family week at the South Hill Farmhouse. The house provided good accommodation, we were particularly impressed with all the toys available for the very youngest and the games room occupied the teenagers. It was also good having some many bathshower rooms with a large number of people, and even hooks on the back of bathroom doors! The kitchens were well stocked and the welcome hamper was a real delight! It was great being able to walk into Stow and to be near some many other beautiful Cotswolds villages and attractions. There were three problems with this property 1. We were celebrating my father's 90th birthday and none of the sofacomfy chairs were suitable for him to get up from. 2. Issues with heating, rooms 3 & 4 had no heating in bedroom or bathroom, so towels were taken downstairs to dry. This was solved on Tuesday but if the instructions had detailed that there was a third thermostat on the landing we could have sorted this ourselves. 3. Second floor had a real issue with woodlice, we removed many but they kept appearing in cupboards and one of the ladies were woken when one walked across her face!
